Bhopal, Feb. 14 -- A Madhya Pradesh high court judge has said "love and affection" of a wife towards someone other than the husband, without "sexual intercourse" does not amount to adultery, going by the dictionary definition of the term.
In his order on January 17, the judge, GS Ahluwalia said this while dismissing the petition filed by a man against the maintenance he was ordered to pay his estranged wife . Under Indian criminal code, the maintenance can be denied if the wife is in an adulterous relationship. P15
