New Delhi, March 19 -- The Delhi high court on Tuesday declined to immediately stay the trial court proceedings against Delhi law minister Kapil Mishra over his alleged inflammatory remarks ahead of the 2020 assembly elections, and said that continuing the proceedings would not cause him any prejudice.

The proceedings stemmed from a first information report (FIR) registered on January 24, 2020, charging Mishra with violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and the Representation of the People (RP) Act after he allegedly posted inflammatory remarks on social media.
