NIA urges hc for in-camera trial of malik's death penalty petition
New Delhi, Nov. 11 -- National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday urged the Delhi high court to hold in-camera proceedings on its petition seeking death penalty for Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief and Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik in a terror funding case.
NIA's counsels Akshai Malik and Khawar Saleem urged a bench of justices Vivek Chaudhary and Manoj Jain to provide a separate, private virtual link for hearing the matter. He also sought time to examine Malik's reply filed in September in response to the petition. "We will consider. List on January 28," the court said.
