Amritsar, Feb. 28 -- Due to Punjab government's failure to acquire land, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has terminated the contract with the firm concerned for construction of the Amritsar-Tarn Taran stretch of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, part of the Centre's Bharat Mala Pariyojna project.

This was revealed in a recent communication from the firm, Ceigall India Limited, to the stock exchange as part of the mandatory reporting process.

According to the letter dated February 26, 2025, the NHAI has terminated the contract for the four-lane greenfield expressway segment connecting Amritsar with the DAK Expressway from MDR Junction at chainage 40+900 (Dhundha village, Tarn Taran) to chainage 70+950 (near Mannawalla ...
