New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- New Delhi Tigers registered a seven-wicket win over Outer Delhi Warriors in their DPL clash on Friday. Chasing 143, the Tigers were off to a flying start thanks to a superb 113-run opening stand between skipper Himmat Singh and Shivam Gupta.
Himmat led from the front with a brisk 58 off 38 balls, while Shivam matched him stroke for stroke, scoring 59 off 43. Their partnership virtually sealed the game before the Tigers comfortably crossed the line to collect two valuable points.
Earlier in the day, Tigers restricted Warriors to 142/7. Pradyuman Sanan finished with 1/16 in four overs, while Aatrey Tripathi returned with figures of 2/19. Their tight spells ensured constant pressure on the Warriors' batting unit.
