Kathmandu, Nov. 28 -- Nepal's central bank on Thursday issued new Rs.100 currency notes featuring a revised map that includes the Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura territories, the regions India maintains belong to it. The new note from the Nepal Rastra Bank bears the signature of previous Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari. In May 2020, Nepal unveiled a new political map, showing the areas as Nepal's territory. India reacted sharply at the time, calling the revised map a "unilateral act" and cautioning Kathmandu that such "artificial enlargement" of territorial claims will not be acceptable to it.P15
