India, June 6 -- The Supreme Court has permitted the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to conduct the NEET-PG 2025 examination on August 3, in a single shift, following a plea from the board seeking rescheduling in line with the Court's directions for uniformity and fairness.
The decision comes after the NBEMS was directed by the apex court on May 30 to avoid holding the exam in two shifts, citing concerns over "arbitrariness" and lack of parity in difficulty levels between question papers.
Originally scheduled for June 15, the exam will now be conducted from 9 am to 12.30 pm on August 3.
