New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved nationwide celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the song 'Vande Mataram'. "The patriotic song Vande Mataram, which played a major role in India's freedom struggle, will be celebrated on its 150th anniversary across the country. The celebrations will especially aim to engage the youth and those unaware of its historical significance, connecting them to the core spirit and values of the song," said Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
