Kolkata, Sept. 1 -- Several Trinamool Congress leaders or their relatives figured in the list of 1,106 tainted teachers released by the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) on Saturday night following the Supreme Court's August 28 order. The commission released a list of 1,104 names around 8pm on Saturday, and added two more names later. The 2016 recruitment was cancelled by the high court over allegations that aspirants paid bribes to get jobs. The Supreme Court upheld the decision. The top court allowed the non-tainted candidates to take a fresh test but WBSSC was ordered to release the list of tainted candidates after a few aspirants claimed that tainted appointees were also being allowed to take the exam.
