Muzaffarpur mayor gets EC notice over 2 voter IDs
PATNA, Aug. 14 -- The electoral registration officer (ERO) of Muzaffarpur served notices on mayor Nirmala Devi and her relatives Manoj Kumar and Dilip Kumar on Wednesday evening, hours after RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav revealed their double enrolment as voters at separate booths within the same assembly constituency, having two voter IDs each, and accused the Election Commission (EC) of "colluding" with the BJP to "steal" votes in Bihar, where assembly polls are due this year.
