India, Aug. 19 -- With very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall very likely in Maharashtra's Mumbai and its suburbs, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) shared high tide timings on X on Tuesday, with waves expected to go as high as 3.75 metres amid the downpour over which the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert.
Mumbai and its nearby areas like Thane have been pounded by heavy rain since the last three days, resulting in many areas getting submerged in water and some even seeing knee-deep waterlogging. Follow Mumbai rain latest updates here
Sharing high tide timings, BMC said on social media platform X that occasional gusty winds reaching 45-55 kmph are also expected.
