India, Aug. 19 -- All the government and semi-government offices in Mumbai will remain closed on Tuesday, August 19, due to heavy rain, the city's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation announced.

The private offices in the city have also been asked to allow work-from-home for Tuesday, given that there has been heavy rainfall since early morning.

"All government and semi-government offices in Mumbai will remain closed today, August 19, 2025. Private offices/establishments are requested to instruct their employees to work from home," BMC said in a post on X.
