India, May 8 -- It was a vintage Chennai Super Kings finish to their match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday night at the Eden Gardens, with the 'men in yellow' registering a narrow two-wicket win. Chasing 180, CSK needed eight runs off the final over when MS Dhoni took guard to face Andre Russell - and sealed the game with just one hit.
Russell fired in a low full-toss on off-stump and Dhoni, 43 but still powerful with the bat, launched it over deep mid-wicket. The Eden Gardens crowd - which had significant support for the CSK - erupted as the ball flew into the night sky.
