India, July 6 -- A wildfire, named the Sage Fire, burned approximately 9.1 acres in Moreno Valley, California, on Saturday evening. Evacuation warnings were issued for nearby neighborhoods as the flames spread rapidly through steep terrain.
The fire broke out on Saturday evening near the water tower south of Walmart in Moreno Valley, California. The fire spread quickly through steep terrain and put several structures at risk, according to officials on scene.
Radio traffic indicated that access to the fire was difficult at first. Incident Command requested 10 additional fire engines of any type under immediate need as the fire grew in intensity. The flames were visible on the Box Springs Mountain 1 camera.
