Monsoon withdrawal begins in West Raj; earliest in 10 yrs: IMD
New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- Southwest monsoon began its withdrawal from parts of West Rajasthan on Sunday - three days ahead of the normal date of September 17, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, making it the earliest such retreat in a decade.
"Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of Rajasthan today," IMD said in a press release. "Conditions are favourable for withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Punjab and Gujarat during next 2-3 days."
