India, July 6 -- Unexpected rains play havoc on your plans, outfit and especially, your hair. What's more, the notion that rainwater is pure as it falls directly from the heavens has now been proven to be false. However, research has shown otherwise. Results from a 34-year comprehensive study conducted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Indian Institute of Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) found that pollution in the country is giving rise to the concept of acid rains. The study was conducted in 10 locations across the country, including Pune and Nagpur (Maharashtra).
