Mohua rolls out citizen-focused framework for swachh survey
New Delhi, Dec. 21 -- The ministry of housing and urban affairs (MoHUA) on Saturday launched the 10th edition of the Swachh Survekshan urban cleanliness survey, rolling out a revised assessment framework that placed greater emphasis on citizen participation.
Unveiled in Bhopal by MoHUA minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 introduces several changes. Unlike earlier editions where public participation was largely event-based, residents will now be able to provide inputs throughout the year using multiple digital channels, including mobile applications, web portals and QR codes, displayed at public locations.
