India, July 2 -- A group of men, wearing Raj Thackeray led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) scarves, allegedly assaulted a shop owner for denying to speak in Marathi on Tuesday in the Bhayander area of Maharashtra's Thane.
This incident occurred shortly after the Maharashtra government withdrew its orders on the implementation of the three-language policy in the state, which lead to the opposition terming it as 'hindi imposition'.
A video of the incident, which went viral on social media on Tuesday night, showed that the men had visited the shop to buy food.
