India, May 16 -- The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado alert for several Minnesota cities, including Minnesota, Coon Rapids and Blaine. The alert lasts till 2:45 PM CDT, the agency added. Earlier in the day, the NWS's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, issued a Tornado Watch at 12:45 PM CDT, covering portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin. The watch remains in effect until 8:00 PM CDT, warning residents of the potential for tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and hazardous weather conditions.
