India, March 28 -- Pune MP and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol helped to bring back an injured couple from Phuket in Thailand after they met with an accident while on a vacation on Wednesday.

A couple from Bhosari, Shubham Phuge, and his wife Siddhi, got injured while playing on a swing in Phuket.

Mohol said, "I came to know about the accident through one of our party workers. They wanted to return immediately so my department coordinated with the airlines and asked them to make stretcher arrangements on the flight. The couple returned to Pune on Thursday morning and underwent an operation at Sancheti Hospital."

They are still recovering at the hospital, he said.
