New Delhi, Jan. 10 -- Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday highlighted the need to move India's younger generation beyond the "Macaulay mindset", bridge learning gaps and reduce school dropouts as core priorities for building a robust human capital base.
Chairing a high-level meeting on Samagra Shiksha 3.0, the minister called for "returning schools to society" as a central pillar of education reform.
"The discussions focused on emerging challenges, best practices and priority interventions required to strengthen governance, infrastructure, teacher training and student entitlements in the next phase of the scheme," the Union education ministry said in a statement.
