minimum temp rises marginally; air quality dips
New Delhi, Dec. 7 -- Delhi's minimum temperature rose marginally on Saturday as a western disturbance began to impact the Capital, even as Delhi's air quality deteriorated further. The minimum stood at 6.8degC, three degrees below normal. It was 5.6degC on Friday, which was the lowest of the season.
Forecasts show a rise in minimum temperature is likely to continue over the next couple of days, with the western disturbance leading to partially cloudy skies. The minimum is forecast to between 8-10degC on Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. Winds of up to 15 km/hr were also recorded during the day.
Delhi's quality index (AQI) meanwhile deteriorated during the day but began improving as winds picked up post noon.
