India, March 27 -- More chilling details about the gruesome murder of Meerut merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput have tumbed out. During police interrogation, the accused wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, revealed the reason why they cut the victim's body into pieces.

According to a report by India TV, both the accused have confessed to mutilating the victim's body to make identification difficult. The duo admitted to severing Saurabh's wrists to prevent police from identifying him through the fingerprints.
