Rohtak, April 27 -- A law student from Rohtak's Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking initiation of contempt action against varsity vice-chancellor Rajbir Singh for not complying with its order (dated February 11). The court on February 11, directed the varsity authorities to award a PhD degree to a student Pradeep Kumar Deswal within eight weeks. The contempt petition has been listed for hearing on April 29.
