India, Jan. 13 -- India's passenger vehicle market ended December 2025 on a positive note, with most major carmakers reporting year-on-year growth in domestic sales. Maruti Suzuki continued to lead the market comfortably, while Tata Motors, Kia and Toyota emerged as key gainers during the month, according to SIAM data.

Maruti Suzuki remained India's largest carmaker in December 2025, clocking domestic sales of 1,78,646 units, up 37 per cent compared to the same month last year. Strong demand across entry-level cars, SUVs and MPVs helped the company end the year on a high.
