New Delhi, April 5 -- Growth in India's services activity, as measured by the Services Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI), fell slightly in March with a softening in both domestic and international demand, according to a release from S&P Global on Friday. The seasonally adjusted HSBC India Services Business Activity Index came in at 58.5, down from 59 in February. To be sure, the PMI services reading was higher than the services flash PMI of 57.7, released last month.

Manufacturing PMI, data for which was released on April 2, rose to an 8-month high due to a rise in output. The combined business activity, measured by the HSBC India Composite Output Index, also rose to a seven-month high of 59.5, up from 58.8 in February.
