Kochi, Sept. 25 -- Kerala Police on Wednesday began investigating the suspected murder of a man whose body was found chained to a rubber tree in an estate, officials aware of the details said.
The unidentified body of the middle-aged man was discovered by locals in a rubber estate near the Mukkadavu bridge on the Punalur-Muvattupuzha state highway in Kollam district.
Circle inspector at the Punalur police station, where an FIR had been registered, said "There is a stab wound just below the ribs. There are also some burn injuries. The body is around 1-2 weeks old," he said.
