Meerut, Nov. 15 -- A man was detained after an explosion, "under suspicious circumstances," ripped through a rented house in Uttar Pradesh's Pilkhua on Friday, injuring two people, police said.
The blast occurred in a six-room house on Dhaulana Road, rented out by Pawan Tomar. The explosion destroyed portions of walls and roof of one room.
"We are verifying whether it was triggered by a gas leak, chemicals, or some other source. One person, Mujahid, has been detained for questioning," circle officer Anita Chauhan said.htc
