India, Oct. 28 -- West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee targeted the Centre on Tuesday after a 57-year-old man died by suicide in North 24 Parganas district's Agarpara, leaving a note holding the National Register of Citizens (NRC) responsible for his death.

"It shakes me to the very core to imagine how, for years, BJP has tormented innocent citizens with the threat of NRC, spreading lies, stoking panic and weaponizing insecurity for votes.
