India, Jan. 15 -- Mahindra & Mahindra announced on Tuesday the commencement of bookings for the XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO, both of which received a strong initial response from customers. The company informed that it recorded 93,689 consolidated bookings across both models as of 2 PM on January 14, 2026.

The carmaker said that this number equated to a total booking value of over Rs.20,500 crore (calculated at ex-showroom). The demand goes to show Mahindra's growing influence in India's SUV market. With the launch of the XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO, the automaker is targeting buyers with distinct needs, from family-focused electric mobility to feature-rich ICE SUVs.
