Mumbai, Feb. 15 -- The Maharashtra government on Friday constituted a committee headed by director general of police (DGP) to look into "love jihad" complaints and fraudulent or forced conversions in the state, according to a government statement. The seven-member committee is mandated to study the existing situation in Maharashtra and recommend remedial measures on complaints received regarding "love jihad", a term that has no legal or government sanction.
