Ludhiana, Nov. 2 -- A wave of discontent has swept through the badminton community as members and parents of the players practising at the Shastri Badminton Hall have voiced strong opposition to the district administration's recent directive, which includes revised playing hours and a ban on parents sitting inside the complex.
The order, effective from November 5, raises the monthly membership fee from Rs.300 to Rs.1,000. It also specifies that parents will not be allowed inside the hall or its premises, with a warning that any violation will result in the concerned player's suspension for 24 hours.
