Ludhiana, March 28 -- Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday granted Amandeep Singh, councillor from ward number 12, who was booked by Dakha police for immigration fraud on February 7, anticipatory bail and has directed him to join the investigation.
Singh joined Congress on January 29 after leaving Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He was booked on February 7 for allegedly duping a Phullanwal village resident of Rs.14 lakh on the pretext of securing a Canadian Visa for his younger son. The complaint was filed against him on January 30, a day after he changed his allegiance to Congress.
