Kochi, March 14 -- Noted Dalit thinker and writer KK Kochu passed away on Thursday at a government hospital in Kottayam. He was 76 and died while undergoing long-term treatment for cancer, hospital officials said. He held a prominent position in Kerala's public sphere for his efforts in fighting for the rights of the Dalit community and for his far-reaching writing. P8
