New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Two workers died after the cable of an elevator they were inside snapped causing the lift to hurtle down and crash at a crockery manufacturing factory in outer Delhi's Samaypur Badli, police said on Thursday. Police identified the victims as as Hari Om, 32, and Sanjay Mishra, 45. The incident took place on Wednesday evening at Gali number 9, police said. Deputy commissioner of police (outer north) Hareshwar V Swami said, "While being taken to the hospital, they succumbed to their injuries. The district crime scene investigation team inspected the spot and after photographs, the factory was sealed." It was not exactly clear which floor they were on when the incident took place.
