Patna, Jan. 5 -- A lawyer has been arrested in Bihar's Banka district for allegedly killing his 17-year-old daughter over suspicion of her relationship with a person from another caste in a suspected case of hate crime, officials said on Sunday. The incident occurred in the Chamreili village of the district. According to police, the girl had gone missing since January 2, following which her father filed a police complaint alleging that her boyfriend had kidnapped the 17-year-old. However, during the course of the probe, police found blood stains at the deceased's residence, prompting investigators to suspect the father's role in the case.
