Last rites of 3 jawans, killed near LoC, held
Jammu, May 12 -- The bodies of three soldiers killed during cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir were cremated on Sunday, officials said.
The bodies of Rifleman Sunil Kumar, Subedar Major Pawan Kumar and IAF assistant medical sergeant Surendra Kumar was brought to their residence in Trewa area of Jammu, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, respectively.
Sunil was killed during cross-border firing in RS Pura sector, while Surendra died during cross-border shelling at the Udhampur air base on Saturday, officials said. Pawan was killed in shelling at Poonch sector, officials said.
