India, March 5 -- A large number of students in government schools across Gurugram are being compelled to sit on the floor and take their exams due to a lack of basic infrastructure in these institutions, according to complaints made by teachers' associations to the state education department.
Nearly 12 government primary schools, especially those in Indira Colony, Shivaji Nagar, Khadipur, DLF Phase 4 and many more, lack proper seating arrangements, forcing students to study on thin mats, even during peak winter.
