KSCA hopes women's WC ties will stay
India, Aug. 12 -- The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) remains hopeful that Chinnaswamy stadium will get police permission to host the scheduled matches of the ICC women's World Cup. The Bengaluru stadium is slated to host a possible five matches including the opener on September 30, one semi-final and the final (if Pakistan don't make it). "We remain hopeful and continue to wait," KSCA president Raghuram Bhatt said.
Earlier, KSCA's Maharaja T20 matches had to be shifted to Mysuru after they failed to obtain permission from Bengaluru police.
