India, Oct. 22 -- An Indigo flight made a priority landing at the Varanasi airport on Tuesday, news agency reported. The flight from Kolkata to Srinagar, landed at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in UP's Varanasi after the issue of fuel leak came to light.

Following the landing, the 166 passengers and crew aboard the plane were safely evacuated. The Varanasi police said airport authorities were looking into the incident, NDTV reported. They said the situation was under control and normal operations had resumed.

No comment was yet made by the airlines.
