New Delhi, April 4 -- Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday hit back at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Anurag Thakur for making "wild allegations" against the senior Congress leader, and sought an apology from Thakur.

Kharge said that if Thakur cannot prove allegations of misuse of Waqf properties, the BJP MP should resign. "I am forced to condemn Anurag Thakur's wild allegations. I expect an apology from the Leader of the House. If Thakur cannot prove his allegations, he has no right to be in Parliament. He should resign.
