Chandigarh, Dec. 3 -- A Kharar-based marriage bureau has been found guilty of deficiency in service and unfair trade practice by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. The commission has directed the marriage bureau to refund Rs.28,000 to a Dhanas resident for failing to provide even a single suitable match for his son, despite receiving payment.

As per the complainant, on April 15, 2024, he entered into a formal agreement with Ezi Marriage Bureau, Sector 125, Kharar, and paid an amount of Rs.21,000 to search for a bride for his son.
