New Delhi, Oct. 13 -- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is planning a comprehensive Rs.83.9 crore revamp of key arterial roads in Lutyens' Delhi. The project will cover areas including the Connaught Place circles, Janpath, Sansad Marg, and KG Marg. It is being undertaken in consultation with the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI). NDMC has issued five separate tenders for the recarpeting of five of its six road divisions: Connaught Place, R1, R2, R4, and R5. Officials stated that the bids will likely be finalised early next month. An official said, "Bids for remaining roads will be issued soon and the overall project estimate cost will be around Rs.92 crore."
