Lucknow, March 7 -- A five-wicket haul by Amelia Kerr and a sparkling half-century from Hayley Matthews kept Mumbai Indians' playoff hopes alive in the WPL as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side completed a convincing six-wicket win over hosts UP Warriorz.

Matthews struck her second half-century of the season on Thursday as MI chased down the 151-run target in the penultimate over on the placid Ekana track.

West Indies' opening batter Matthews along with Nat Sciver-Brunt added 92 runs for the second wicket and set the pace for MI's run chase. Her 46-ball 68, studded with eight fours and two sixes, left the UPW bowlers running for cover. Brunt also scored 37 off 23 balls with seven fours.
