New Delhi, April 25 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday granted a two-week interim bail to Vikas Yadav, son of former Member of Parliament DP Yadav, to attend to his ailing mother as the court noted that he had undergone 23 years of his life term punishment in the Nitish Katara murder case of 2002.
A bench headed by justice Abhay S Oka also enhanced the security of Katara's mother Nilam, and ordered a medical board at AIIMS to examine the mother of Vikas Yadav and submit a report on her health condition to be considered on May 8, when the period of bail would expire.
For this, the bench, also comprising justice Ujjal Bhuyan, directed Yadav's mother to be brought from Ghaziabad's Yashoda hospital to Delhi's AIIMS immediately. As Yadav has nev...
