Srinagar, Nov. 6 -- Kashmir Valley has experienced a significant shift in weather, bringing an end to a dry spell with overnight rains and fresh snowfall across the region. This weather event, which draped the mountainous areas in a white blanket, has caused a noticeable dip in temperatures and led to the temporary closure of some high-altitude roads. The improved weather conditions are a welcome sight for the landscape, though residents should prepare for a continued drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures in the coming days.

The meteorological centre in Srinagar said that light to moderate rain was recorded in the plains and light snow was witnessed over higher reaches at many places during the night.
