India, May 27 -- Shubman Gill's appointment as India's next Test captain hasn't exactly pleased a lot of former cricketers. The legendary Anil Kumble feels Gill is yet to establish himself as a frontline batter in the side, let alone be named the skipper, whereas Virender Sehwag believes Gill was the third-best option to replace Rohit Sharma behind Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant. And to be fair, their opinions are valid too, to a certain extent.
