Bengaluru, Aug. 10 -- Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the state law department will investigate allegations of vote rigging in the recent Lok Sabha elections and initiate legal action based on its recommendations.
"The Advocate General will be instructed to conduct the investigation quickly and submit a report. But the Election Commission has full authority regarding the voter list," the CM told journalists in Mysuru on Saturday.
On judicial intervention to ensure confidence in the Election Commission, he reiterated, "We have been saying from the beginning that there is manipulation in the elections, EVMs, and voter lists."
