Bengaluru, Oct. 18 -- Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah took on Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty on Friday for refusing to participate in the state's ongoing social and educational survey, saying they misunderstood its purpose. The couple decided not to provide their household data - on the grounds that they "do not belong to any backward community". The chief minister said the survey was being mischaracterised as one focused solely on caste, despite the government's repeated clarifications that it covers all social groups.
