Bengaluru, Dec. 19 -- The Karnataka assembly on Thursday cleared a contentious bill aimed at preventing hate speech and hate crimes amid loud protests by the Opposition, which said the legislation was aimed at targeting political rivals and media.
The bill adopts a broad definition of hate speech, covering any expression made in public view. P10
